Heat Treatment
Heat Treatment is carried out in-house and is used for the processing of Aluminium Alloy castings. The fully automated equipment is capable of recording each heat cycle and is kept on file to allow traceability at any time.
Low Temperature Oven - Up to 300 degrees C
The low temperature oven is used to process materials with dimensions not exceeding one metre in height.
High Temperature Oven - Up to 550 degrees C and Water Quench Tank
This oven is capable of processing materials in batches of up to 320 kg, in purpose built baskets. The basket measures 0.9 metre square.
Calibration
Ovens, thermo-couples and graphic chart recorders are calibrated at regular time intervals to AMS2750D.
Metallurgy Service
A full metallurgy service can be provided, including; - Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS), Chemical Analysis, Elongation, and Hardness tests in Vickers, Brinell or Rockwell.
Traceability
The heat of each treatment is carefully recorded on a fully calibrated recorder and all records are kept on file for future reference.
