X-Ray Inspection
Radio-graphy is carried out in-house by our exper-ienced and qualified professionals and is used mainly for the processing of Aluminium Alloy castings. However, this semi-automated equipment is also capable of screening a diverse range of materials.
We also offer these specialist services on a subcontract basis.
Radiography Inspection
At EDL the Radiography department has been purpose built to screen high integrity castings. The X-ray equipment is capable of penetrating aluminium to a depth of 2", using normal exposure times. The equipment can also be used on a wide spectrum of ferrous and non-ferrous materials including plastics, rubbers and carbon fibres.
